INT. HART HOUSE — MASTER BEDROOM — NIGHT
Darkness. A clock ticks somewhere on the nightstand. Soft, low moans drift across the room.
Roger lies flat on his back, pressed against the far edge of the bed, his body angled as far from his wife as the mattress allows. His eyes are open. He stares at the ceiling.
The moans continue. Quiet. Deliberate.
ROGER
GENEVA
Roger says nothing. The clock ticks.
GENEVA
A long silence. Then Roger reaches over and clicks off the lamp beside him. He rolls onto his side, his back to her.
Geneva lies alone in the dark, her hand still, her question hanging in the room like smoke.
